I am Jack Hinz, an award winning 18-year-old filmmaker and photographer from Brisbane, Australia. I am committed to creating a positive difference in the lives of those less fortunate than myself through the power of story and film. Recently, I directed and produced "Foundation", a short documentary on Australia's largest cow sanctuary. It has been highly acclaimed and has recently won the following awards:

I also love spending time in the outdoors with my family and friends. Many of my best photographs were taken on multi-day walks in remote and wild locations. This includes my photograph, "The World's Only Alpine Parrot," which was taken during a three-day walk in Nelson Lakes National Park, New Zealand. This elegant photograph of the critically endangered Kea was used as a promotional image for the 2024 Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year book and was on exhibition in the South Australian Museum.
Rubik's Cubing is one of my other hobbies and I am a member of the World Cube Association, having competed in, amongst numerous other competitions, the WCA World Championships. I have won six awards in my competitive cubing career, and I cherish the friendships I have made along the way.
